Odessa did more than a few rings of the bell last week as we celebrated our annual user conference, Innovate, taking place in Philadelphia. 125+ customers, partners, industry experts and business leaders gathered in Center City for Innovate2018 to learn more about this year’s conference theme, “Innovating Closer to the Customer,” as well as get hands-on system training, network with their peers, and find out what’s new with the Odessa Platform.

Monday kicked off with the Alliance Partner Summit, an annual meeting of strategic services and technology partners. The group discussed implementation methodology, product roadmap and opportunities for partnership in the coming year. Also in high gear on Monday, with more than 60 customer attendees, were two pre-conference system training classes. Odessa Architect and Analyst experts led full-day training, user discussion, and provided insight for maximizing use of product functionality. The day wrapped up with an evening reception at John F. Collins Park, sponsored by OSG Billing Services, where attendees enjoyed cocktails and apps al fresco.

Tuesday morning started off with Odessa co-founders’, Madhu Natarajan, CEO and Jay Mehra, COO, opening presentation announcing a slew of exciting new features being worked on in the Innovation Lab for our customers. They also shared our vision for the leasing, delivery, data and digital ecosystems, all brought together with the Odessa Platform. The next two days were jam-packed with 22+ fascinating and insightful presentations, including a keynote by best-selling author and innovation guru Jeff DeGraff, and breakout session talks from Christine Armstrong of LBC Capital, Doug Cohen and Mike Maiter of Vertex, Jose Ponce of CXO Corporation, and many others.

At the official Bright Lights, Big City party on Tuesday evening, sponsored by Vertex, attendees were treated to the best of Philly with fare from Chinatown, the Italian Market, and local favorite Federal Donuts. Jeff DeGraff joined us for a book signing onsite, attendees struck their best pose for the GIF photo booth, and everyone enjoyed the breathtaking views of the skyline from the rooftop of the Free Library of Philadelphia. But nobody was ready to leave until they’d had their chance to dance the night away to live music under the tent.
