Jay Mehra to speak at CEO retreat in Sri Lanka

Jay Mehra, COO of Odessa Technologies, Inc. has been invited to speak at the Retreat for CEO's and Senior Corporate Managers in Sri Lanka. The retreat has been organized by the Asian Centre for Lease Education (Pvt.) Ltd. It will be held between April 22nd - 23rd, 2005, at the Taj Exotica in Bentota and will be attended by several leading experts from across the globe, addressing important leasing issues.
Mr. Mehra's talk, entitled Internet Leasing Technology, will highlight the current permeation and the future potential of the web for leasing companies. Drawing on the success of LeaseWave©, Odessa's flagship internet-based lease software, Mr. Mehra will focus on the opportunities that internet technology offers for customization. Specifically, he will address the ability that web-based software possesses to wrap itself around the unique needs of individual lessors. Further, Mr. Mehra will discuss how the net offers leasing companies with the opportunity to connect the entire lease enterprise. Drawing parallels from supply-chain and customer relationship management concepts - common across various non-leasing industries - he will talk to how the web can form a single, common platform that facilitates real time interaction between a lessor and its business partners (including, lessees, vendors, brokers, funding sources, etc.). And, finally, Mr. Mehra will speak to the ease and simplicity that the internet offers in terms of system deployment and distribution. Unlike traditional client-server systems that comprise of compiled executable files that need to be distributed to each machine for the software to function, the Internet offers unprecedented scalability and reach; all that is required are computers with IE browsers that connect to an in-house, internal LAN and/or across the Net.
Through initiatives such as this retreat, the Asian Centre for Lease Education aims to promote international best practices for leasing in the Asia region. The organization also provides certification programs designed to enable leasing professionals to posses a qualification framework that encourages educational progression and facilitates career enhancement.
