Portfolio Management: UCC Management

The LeaseWave® leasing system provides for comprehensive UCC management and tracking. UCC filing information can be easily created from within the lease asset management software system. The level of detail required, as to the extent of asset-level details to appear on the certificate etc., can also be dictated by the user. All other information to appear on the UCC certificate can also be entered and maintained in the LeaseWave® lease management system.

Once adequate UCC information is set up in the LeaseWave® leasing system, a file can be generated by the system containing the requisite UCC certification information. This file is compliant with the UDS (UCC Direct) filing systems (ilien) and can be exported online. Once the filings themselves are carried out, a returns file is fed back into the LeaseWave® leasing system; based on information in this file, UCC certification information is automatically updated. This information is also used to maintain ongoing UCC-related transactions such as reminders and filings for extensions, amendments, renewals etc.

If UDS (ICC Direct / ilien) is not used, the LeaseWave® leasing system can still provide output information required for UCC filings. The actual filing process itself will have to be carried out by the user with each state / government authority that is relevant.

  • Store all information required from a UCC filing point of view.
  • Group assets / leases as required to appear on each certificate that needs to be filed.
  • Automatically generate UCC file that can be exported to UDS (UCC Direct / ilien).
  • Once filings have been carried out, import a returns file that automatically updates filing information into the LeaseWave® leasing system’s database.
  • Set up reminders and other system triggers to manage ongoing filing needs.
  • Run exceptions reports and other “audit-based” reports to ensure that no assets/leases are left out of a filing accidentally.
  • Get UCC information to file independently and directly with the concerned governmental authority (vs. file through UDS).
  • Automatically keep a historic record of all filings that affect each individual asset and lease.
