The LeaseWave® suite is, essentially, an asset lease management software; the asset management module forms the basis of much of the system’s functionality. It works as a sophisticated virtual repository that tracks and maintains extensive information about assets on record in the lease tracking software system. It is from this storehouse that assets are designated to a lease, returned from lease, remarketed, refurbished, serviced etc., through easy-to-use functionalities that replicate reality, making the LeaseWave® system a comprehensive asset lease management software. Indeed, every asset in the system exists as an independent entity, as a component of the investment of a lease, or as both. Asset-specific information such as depreciation, property tax management, UCC filing information (as necessary), insurance filings, etc., can be maintained regardless of whether the asset is in the virtual storehouse or in a lease
Because of this design, renewals and remarketing become very simple and logical extensions of the lease management program. Once a lease matures, its asset(s) becomes available for post maturity options, based on what is done with the lease. All of this can be handled directly from within the lease asset management software sub-system, without having to disrupt the lease with which it was formerly associated. This becomes an especially powerful feature for operating leases and for those lessors who frequently do renewals and asset remarketing.
