Fleet Management: License Management

While the LeaseWave® Portfolio system reliably covers the requirements of standard auto leasing software, the LeaseWave® Fleet fleet management software system allows users to administer value-added, vehicle-related services, such as license management services. The management of highway tolls, parking tickets, plate renewal fees, etc. falls under the purview of license management. The LeaseWave® Fleet fleet management system has sophisticated license management capability. For example, vehicles can be set up with plate renewal information. Then, through a manual process or an automated batch, vehicle plates can be renewed. A meticulous audit trail is maintained any time plate renewal data is altered. Moreover, the system has the capability to charge-through (to the customer) parking tickets, highway tolls, etc. Appropriate payables are generated to the relevant governmental/other authorities, whenever applicable. During the license management process, administrative fees can also be billed out to the customer. When invoiced, these fees can be blended with the license fee charge.

The customer charge backs can then be billed out as part of regular fleet management services independent of lease-related billings; alternatively, license management charge backs can be invoiced using the standard automobile leasing software capabilities of the LeaseWave® Portfolio system.

• Manage plate renewals, parking tickets, highway tolls, etc. through the fleet management system’s license management capability
• Set up a vehicle with the appropriate plate information and then, through a manual process or an automated system update, renew vehicle plates
• Keep a meticulous audit-trail of each vehicle, every time plate information is updated
• Charge back plate renewal fees, tolls and parking tickets to the customer
• Manage the license-management-related government authorities as specialized vendors in the system
• Generate payables against the appropriate government authorities
• Levy an admin fee, if desired, while administering license management payments
• Choose to blend these admin fees with the base-license management charge during invoicing, if required
• Invoice out license management charge-backs independent of lease-related billings or use the standard auto leasing software capabilities of the LeaseWave® Portfolio system for invoicing
