Fleet Management: Customer Management

Through the LeaseWave® Fleet fleet management software system, users have the ability to create customer accounts and govern their unique relationships with the fleet management company or lessor. Each customer can be configured as a fleet-only, a lease-only or a fleet leasing entity. Therefore, the system is able to intelligently discern the services that can be offered to each customer. Moreover, because they exist as entities in the same database, there is absolutely no duplication of data for customers that use both fleet and leasing services.

The LeaseWave® Fleet fleet software system also allows for the management of complex relationships across all customer types (that is, across lease-only, fleet-only or fleet leasing customers). A commonly experienced challenge, for example, is the ability to allow one customer to “inherit” particular attributes and properties of another and, yet, be treated as a separate entity where needed. In the LeaseWave® Fleet fleet management system, customers can be set up as “children” of existing customer entities; this enables them to inherit certain key attributes of their parents. If, for instance, a customer is set up to inherit the vehicle replacement policy of its parent, any change made to the policy automatically affects the child. This allows for sophisticated, yet simple, governance of complicated customer associations.

  • Allow a child customer to inherit key attributes (policies, contact information, tax rules, etc.) of its parent; consequently, when parent-customer information is changed, all child-customers are affected automatically.
