The Equipment Leasing and Finance Association has announced that Odessa Technologies’ implementation of LeaseWave® at Winthrop Resources Corp (a wholly owned subsidiary of TCF Financial Corporation) has won the Operations & Technology Excellence (O&TE) Award for 2010. The award “identifies and recognizes equipment leasing and finance companies that have demonstrated best practices in developing and implementing innovative uses of technology or creative business processes to improve operations, enhance customer interactions, enter new markets and build overall return on investment.”
Winthrop makes use of the entire LeaseWave® suite to comprehensively manage the lifecycle of both leases and assets, from origination through remarketing. “We chose LeaseWave® because of its flexibility and true asset-based design,” said Craig Dahl, Chief Executive Officer, Winthrop Resources Corporation. “Our relationship with Odessa has been very successful. Odessa continually demonstrated a strong understanding of our unique and complex leasing requirements and processes, and worked to meet our needs.”
LeaseWave® is architected to be fully configurable, built on a workflow foundation with a business rules engine. This allows the system to meet complex business requirements regardless of the type of leasing company in question. Especially applicable to Winthrop’s business model is LeaseWave’s™ asset-based design that is capable of handling over 25,000 assets on a single lease schedule. “We’re excited and humbled by the ELFA award for the LeaseWave® implementation at Winthrop,” says Madhu Natarajan, Chief Executive Officer, Odessa Technologies. “It is truly an honor to be recognized by the industry we serve.”
